In 1997 Northern Illinois University commissioned SINKER,
a two channel installation in which the sound of treading in deep water was heard from a first person point of view.
Panning vertically between speakers arranged above and below the visitors head, the sound of being underwater, coming up for
air, taking a breath and going under again was heard continuously.

Listen to: SINKER, 1997
NOTE: Listening to this through headphones and tilting your head so the splash is at the top gives the
best sense of the sounds spatial orientation.
